Home: Where one wants to wake up on Christmas morning.
Family: Those you want to eat Christmas breakfast at the table or all around the house.
Sips: Hot chocolate. Hot tea. Hot coffee with Grand Marnier for the cook.
Gifts: The hugs and kisses all day long from those one has not seen in ages or minutes.
Packages: Being unwrapped and high decibel squeals.
Talk: Remembering those not with us this day.
Cost: Priceless and stored in the vault of one's heart.
Dress: Flannel sleepwear, robes and furry slippers.
Aromas: Dinner being cooked making the smell of breakfast wane.
Bells: Church chimes; telephone rings; door bells; kitchen timers; streetcar clangs.
Wishes: Absence of war. Good health. Decent wages. Comfortable abodes.
Weather: Snow in New England. Sunshine in the South.
Feelings: Happy. Sad. Homesick. Stuffed. Tired. Tipsy.
