All I Want for Christmas

All I want for Christmas is for others to find Peace within themselves and share their found Peace throughout the year.

Growing up multi-cultural; multi-racial and multi-ethnic I found my thoughts of the
so called "Christmas Season" early in my tender years.  Being a reader and good at arithmetic and loving physics the tales and myths of the Season did not work on me.

I preferred Chanukah.  "Stupid" is not written on my forehead.  Eight days of gifts
beat the heck out of one on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and the usual package of underwear.

Trees were a nuisance.   Being the smallest in the family, if we had a tree, I was
the one to crawl under the tree to add water to the stand.  I was the one to clean
out the needles when the tree began to die.  Keeping with the habit of not removing a tree until the Sixth of January to celebrate the Wise men finding the "Babe in the Manger" was a glorified mess.

Yes, we celebrated everyone's end of the year celebration.  I'm glad we did.  All
learned others cultures and traditions.  All that pushed me to learn more about
is supposed to be Christmas American style.  Commercialism  is the best word.

My friends don't want me to say a word on the real historical events about the
birth of the "Prince of Peace".  My historical facts ruins their fantasies told to
them as children and they continue the myths.

For me The Great Spirit surprised me with Christmas in July, a new abode.
My Angels were busy and aligned my life and the events so as I walked my
path in my old moccasins, I was Blessed to meet friends of old and before I
realized what was happening, I had new moccasins to walk into my new
residence.

Christmas should be every day.  Celebrate what we have each day and
reach out to someone with a kind word or a hand.  Daily I awake in
celebration.

The house is better than I could have imagined.  I keep the family that lost
the house via foreclosure in my heart and prayers.  I don't know them.  God does.

I have not sent holiday cards in six years after I added the money I was throwing
away.  Now, I make donations to charities.  One charity in particular gets the larger share because they buy women and their children out of sexual slavery.

Yes, in these days of "modern times" we are no better than 2020 years ago.
The same sins are occurring only now we have modern communications to
keep us informed.

No matter how I celebrate the Season, I'll be better off than probably ninety-five
percent of all the people in this world.

I celebrate you being a part of my life too.
